Christ’s Hospital of Abingdon provides assistance to the people of Abingdon in four main ways:

  1. It provides accommodation in its Almshouses for residents Oxfordshire (with preference for Abingdon), over the age of 50, who are of good character and are in need.  Almshouse Application Form 20.8.20
  2. It makes grants for the purchase of essential items to those of limited means referred to it by care agencies, or by other professionals.
  3. It supports local schools via annual grants and can sometimes assist with individual fee support for pupils in independent education.
  4. It makes occasional grants to local organisations deemed by the Governors to offer significant benefit to the residents of the town.
